are due between January 1 and February 15. Keep a copy of everything you
send to college

(before February 15th)
3. Financial Aid: Save this year’s pay stubs to estimate income. Wait for new
W2 forms.
4. Submit FASFA as soon as possible (after Jan. 1 and after your parents have
filed their income tax).
Spring
1. Acceptance letters and financial aid offers should begin coming in by mid-April.
2. Compare your aid awards from different colleges
3. Notify every college you contacted of your acceptance or rejection of offers of
admission or financial aid. Send a deposit to the college you choose.
After Graduation
1. Make sure you have notified your counselor which college you have chosen
to attend so that he/she can send your official high school transcript.
2. If you are a dual credit student, you are responsible for getting your transcript
from dual credit college forwarded to the college you will be attending. THE
COUNSELOR DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DO IT FOR YOU!
You will need an ACT or SAT test score when applying for colleges/universities. Below are the test and registration dates for them. You should plan on taking one before December (in case you want to retake one for a higher test score). You should register on-line. If you cannot register on-line, please see your counselor. *Your high school code is 441-225.
